Serving Accokeek, Maryland
Luxury vinyl plank and tile installed in Accokeek, Maryland, from our Waldorf store and showroom: free in-home measurement, full-size samples, and our own installation crews.

Accokeek is the rural edge of Prince George's County, where about 13,927 people live in older farmhouses, ranches, and homes on lots big enough for gardens, workshops, and chickens. Floors in these houses have often been patched one room at a time for decades: sheet vinyl in the kitchen, carpet in the bedrooms, something else again in the hall. Waldorf Luxury Vinyl Plank Company does full vinyl flooring replacement in Accokeek, taking the layers out, setting the subfloor right, and running one floor through the home. Every project starts with a free in-home measurement.
Replacement leads our Accokeek schedule, and it sits alongside new luxury vinyl plank and tile installation, waterproof vinyl for baths and laundry rooms, and basement plank over concrete. Farmhouses and ranches ask specific things of a floor: it has to lie flat over subfloors that have moved a little in fifty years, handle mud and grit coming in from the yard, and warm up rooms that real tile would leave cold in January. SPC rigid core covers most of that, with WPC as the softer option for bedrooms. Our Waldorf showroom stocks full-size samples from COREtec, LifeProof, Shaw, and Mohawk, in 12, 20, and 22 mil wear layers, and our own crews do the work.

An Accokeek ranch had three generations of flooring in it: yellowed sheet vinyl in the kitchen, worn carpet through the living room and hall, and a spongy patch of subfloor outside the bathroom door. We removed everything down to the base, replaced the softened subfloor section, and leveled the long hall run where the house had settled. Then we installed one warm oak SPC plank through the kitchen, living room, hall, and entry, so the whole single level now reads as one floor and sweeps clean from end to end.
SPC rigid core runs $7 to $12 per square foot installed, and luxury vinyl tile and WPC run $6 to $11 per square foot installed. In replacement work, removal of the old flooring and prep add $1 to $3 per square foot where they apply, and any subfloor repair is quoted openly when we find it at the measurement. A single room usually totals $1,200 to $3,400, a whole main level runs $6,500 to $14,500, and a whole home project ranges from $11,000 to $24,000. A ranch replaced in one continuous run often lands in the main level range even though most of the house is included.
We are licensed and bonded in Maryland, Virginia, and DC, with Maryland work under MHIC 155221, and we are veteran friendly and a national federal government dealer. Replacement is unforgiving work: whatever is under the old floor decides how the new one performs, so we would rather show you the subfloor, explain the repair, and put it in the quote as its own line than cover a problem and hope. One company, our store and showroom plus our own installation crews, stays responsible from measurement to finished floor.
Most replacement projects price from the installed ranges of $7 to $12 per square foot for SPC and $6 to $11 for WPC or tile, plus $1 to $3 per square foot for removal and prep where it applies. A whole ranch or main level typically totals $6,500 to $14,500. The free measurement produces one exact figure, with removal and any subfloor repair shown as separate lines.
Usually yes, and uneven is normal in a house that has settled over decades. Floating vinyl needs the base flat within a small tolerance, so we level low spots and repair soft sections before installing, and we quote that prep openly. Where a section of subfloor has rotted near a bath or an exterior door, replacing it first is what keeps the new floor quiet and flat.
We remove it. Tear out of carpet, sheet vinyl, laminate, and old tile is part of the replacement scope, including disposal, and the quote separates removal, prep, and new material into visible lines so you can see what each stage costs.
Most single level replacements take three to four days including tear out and subfloor work, and rooms are walkable the same evening they are finished. Because a ranch is one level, we sequence the rooms so you keep a working path through the house.
It handles it well. The wear layer takes the grit that grinds into carpet and scratches softer surfaces, and the waterproof core means wet boots and melting snow sit on top until you mop. For a working entry we usually recommend a 20 or 22 mil wear layer and a textured finish that hides the daily traffic between cleanings.
Yes. We are licensed and bonded in Maryland, Virginia, and DC, and our Maryland work runs under MHIC 155221. We sell and install with our own crews rather than handing your project to another company, and we are veteran friendly as well. Your quote lists the product, underlayment, transitions, and trim by name before anything is ordered.
Tell us about the rooms you want floored and the floors you have now. We read every request that comes in and respond with the next steps, starting with a free in-home measurement and full-size samples you can see in your own light.
